Rio 2016
The atmosphere in the Olympic Village and Olympic Stadium was simply magical. It was an absolute unique and impacting experience living two weeks among the best athletes in the world and become witness to the greatest possible sporting event. To compete with the world watching and to have the opportunity to produce the best of my capacity were what I wanted, and so I assumed a very serious mentality in Rio. I prepared to the best of my ability, over many years, and I’m proud to have obtained excellent results when it mattered most.
In the 200m heats I ran a personal best and broke the Spanish National Record in 20.12, beating some of the fastest sprinters in the world.
I placed 4th in my semifinal with 20.16, just a mere 0.06 seconds from the Olympic final. Overall, I was 10th in the world.
